It has been a World Cultural and Natural<br \/>\nHeritage of humanity site since 1979. This site has more than 3,000 archaeological<br \/>\nelements, a city that existed between the pre-classic and classical periods. Of the<br \/>\ntemples and squares found here, the Plaza Mayor stands out, heart of the<br \/>\narchaeological park of Tikal and is surrounded by temples I (Temple of the Great<br \/>\nJaguar) and II (Temple of the Masks), the North Acropolis and the Central.<br \/>\nThere is the square of the Great Pyramid or lost World, a set of monuments of the<br \/>\noldest of Tikal and the palace of the windows, with a lot of interconnected rooms.<br \/>\nTemple III or \u201ctemple of the Jaguar priest\u201d has different carvings on its lintels. The<br \/>\ntemple IV or \u201cTemple of the Double Headed Serpent\u201d is the highest of Tikal, by its 70<br \/>\nmeters of height from where we will be able to recreate of one of the most spectacular<br \/>\npanoramas of the park.
