This biological environment is spectacular for its subtropical forest in<br \/>\nwhich endangered animals and plants inhabit. One can access the park by helicopter<br \/>\nor for the more adventurous, walking on a wonderful three-day route.<br \/>\nEl Mirador is a Mayan city in the north-west of Pet\u00e9n, where you can discover<br \/>\narchitectural complexes, such as El Tintal, La Florida, la Danta, La Muralla, El Tigre and<br \/>\nLa Wakna, between its causeways and monumental structures within the Mayan<br \/>\nBiosphere Reserve. It is worth mentioning \u201cthe Great Pyramid of the Danta\u201d, which is<br \/>\nnamed after the largest animal that exists in the jungle (the \u201cDanta\u201d or Tapir).
